Thank you for asking. It is certainly my intention to find a larger audience. The Herald-Tribune has closed its doors to me and I'm afraid the NY Times would not be interested. But there may be a partnership/collaboration with a nonprofit in the works that would give these posts and podcasts more visibility and range. Will let readers/listeners know when/if that happens... Meanwhile, thanks for staying tuned.
Your stories are so touchingly uplifting, I would think a large-distribution news organization would be interested but I assume you've "shopped" it around to the WP (their Lily segment), LA/Seattle Times, etc.. Good luck.
Funny, I was just thinking an agent may be a good idea for you. I'm flattered by your suggestion, but you'll do much better. Might Stephen King help with "agent ideas"? Lives on Casey Key--v. nice guy.
I have been trying to get an agent for my book projects for several years. without success The publishing industry has contracted just like the newspaper industry. You would think a 45 year body of award winning journalism might open a door. But nope....what you really need now is a million followers on social media and a brand on YouTube. :(
Months ago Shelby Steele's son Eli, made a film featuring Shelby called "What Killed Michael Brown" which he's now selling directly via Amazon. I mention this wondering if you can simply print/list your book on Amazon Kindle without middle men---maybe do a few radio talk shows NPR etc. in a small but major city promotion campaign?
Carrie, do you foresee a broader forum for your wonderful stories like say H-T, NYT? Thanks.

Perhaps you'd like to be my agent? ;)
