As we continue to hurry to whatever is next, it is sheer delight to see the beauty around us, both small and large, that we miss as we walk with nose glued to the electronic device held in front of it. I used to take my grandchildren and lay on the grass just to look at the busy world in several square inches of soil, roots and leaves. Then, roll over and look at the trees and the sky and just notice. I only hope that someday, they will remember the joy of quietly being aware.
I vote yes! It helps me remember that a walk doesn’t need to be a hum drum exercise routine....it can be whatever you want it to be. Thanks for the reminder!
