What is the name of the organization here in Sarasota? Do they have meetings?🌻

I'm not sure what organization you're referring to. If you mean NAMI, it's NAMI Sarasota County at namisarasotamanatee.org

This is a wonderful story and I am so happy to see Jerry doing so well. We miss him (and Crosby) in the neighborhood.

Jerry’s story is an inspiration to others to maintain hope that there IS light at the end of the tunnel. It is also a reminder of the challenges that loved ones face in the recovery process and that mental illness has profound impact on the entire family.

Great story. When you’re in a crisis, it’s hard to make good decisions. Some people can find a way to manage and never admit their fears, but for most, it’s clear one needs an objective adviser to clear the fog to see the way forward. No man is an island.

I can completely relate to Jerry's story, and I have been struggling to find the right help...I am also in Sarasota Florida and wondering if I could contact him about seeking medical care there ... ????.....

I think Jerry might be reluctant to give "advice," given that (as he says in the story) each person's brain, situation and treatment necessities are different. But I'd be happy to speak to you to see if I can provide any help. You can reach me at carrie.seidman@gmail.com or 505-238-0392. Hang in!
