I listened to this looking at a picture of a friend I had since elementary school. She is no longer with us. Priscilla was not only bi/polar but she was also an alcoholic. She was extremely smart and a talented musician. Amazingly, she was a wonderful mother. Both her children are now in their 60s. I'm sure they bear scars but they are living successful and apparently well adjusted lives. Have good families. So many memories are popping up. I couldn't possibly put them all down here.

Thank you for contributing to making mental health something not to be hidden or embarrassed about.

Thanks for sharing that, Rhana. It's good to remind people that no one is defined by their diagnosis. Most of the people I know with chronic mental health challenges are also exceptionally gifted and creative and often unusually empathetic.
